Einzeltherapie
Ablauf und Angebot
Therapy is a unique and deeply personal journey — one we take together. People seek counselling for many reasons: navigating a life crisis, recovering from grief and loss, finding freedom from anxiety and depression, building self-esteem and resilience, deepening relationships, healing old emotional wounds, and discovering meaning, purpose, or spiritual transformation.
Wherever you are right now, that’s exactly where we begin. Together, we build a path forward that is tailored to you.
What to Expect from Your First Counselling Session
Your first appointment is a chance for you to share what’s brought you to therapy, to experience how I work, and for me to begin understanding your unique needs and situation.
A thorough understanding of what you’re bringing to counselling forms the foundation of a successful outcome. We begin your therapeutic journey from the very first moment we meet.
At the close of your first session, we’ll discuss how to move forward together — considering your needs, goals, and the best approach in terms of session frequency and potential outcomes.
How Many Therapy Sessions Will I Need?
The number and frequency of sessions is guided entirely by what you want to achieve through counselling — your goals, your pace, your life.
Some people come to therapy for many months or even years, gradually growing into and maintaining lasting mental and emotional wellbeing, or deepening their spirituality. Others seek short-term counselling to navigate a specific life crisis — the loss of a loved one, a divorce, or the diagnosis of a serious illness. In these cases, a focused course of sessions is often enough to weather the crisis and re-engage fully with life.
How Often Will We Meet?
I recommend beginning with at least four to six sessions, meeting weekly, to build a strong therapeutic foundation. Consistent early sessions allow trust and momentum to develop — both essential to meaningful progress.
Over time, we may continue at a weekly rhythm or transition to fortnightly sessions, depending on where you are in your journey. Wherever possible, we meet at the same time each week for continuity — though scheduling can always be adapted to fit our availability.
