Clinical Supervision for Therapists | Reflective Practice & Professional Growth

Clinical supervision is an invitation to step back from the intensity of client work and enter a space of experiential learning — where, in the words of Zachary (2001), “we sit at the feet of our own experience” — becoming genuine students of our own practice.

I offer a safe, collaborative, and professionally enriching environment for both new and experienced therapists. Together, we explore your therapeutic work, reflect on your practice, and discover new and creative ways to respond to the challenges your clients bring — as well as the areas of professional development you want to grow.

What Clinical Supervision Offers You

While supervision provides ongoing support within the theories and modalities you already use, it also opens the door to new approaches — expanding your intervention toolkit and strengthening your confidence as a practitioner.

My supervision practice is deeply rooted in the humanistic traditions. I offer general clinical supervision based on evidence-based models and the following two more specialised approaches:

  • Mindfulness-Based Clinical Supervision — integrating mindfulness principles to deepen present-moment awareness in your therapeutic work and reflective practice.
  • Creative Supervision Pathways — including sand tray and symbols work and other experiential methods to help you develop a richer, more embodied understanding of your clients and their inner world.

Therapist Wellbeing & Preventing Burnout | Sustainable Practice Through Supervision

Clinical supervision is also a space to explore and deepen the quality of your therapeutic relationship with clients — including your own attuned presence and the way you show up in the room.

I am committed to supporting therapists in delivering high-quality care to their clients while remaining well-resourced and nourished within themselves. Sustainable practice is not a luxury — it is essential to the longevity and integrity of your work. My near thirty year career working as a happy therapist reflects that I walk my talk.

Supporting Therapist Wellbeing

Workload pressures and personal responses to client material need to be regularly discussed and processed — not only to prevent therapist burnout, but to protect the quality of care your clients receive. In our supervision work together, I keep a consistent focus on:

  • Staying well and maintaining your own mental, emotional and physical health alongside the demands of clinical work.
  • Working within ethical and professional boundaries.
  • Professional Growth & Skill Development Supervision provides a structured space to continuously refine your clinical skills through reflective dialogue, honest feedback, and experienced guidance.

  • Reflective Practice & Self-Awareness

Supervision invites you to turn the lens on yourself — exploring personal biases, deeply held beliefs, and emotional reactions that may be shaping your clinical work.

  • Better Outcomes for Your Clients — Ultimately, well-supported therapists deliver better therapy.

  • Building and enjoying a meaningful career.

Supervision is offered face to face individually and in small groups as well as via Zoom.

Individuelle Betreuung

Individual Clinical Supervision | Personalised Support for Therapists

Individual supervision offers a well-structured, one-to-one supervisory space tailored to your specific needs, level of experience, and preferred therapeutic theories and approaches.

We begin with an initial session — a chance to get to know each other and explore the professional fit between us. If we decide to move forward together, a clear supervision contract is agreed upon, outlining how we work, what we each bring, and what you can expect from our time together.

Gruppenaufsicht

Group Clinical Supervision | Peer Learning & Professional Support for Therapists

Group supervision brings together a small group of up to five therapists who meet regularly to discuss their clinical work and caseloads.

Cost-effective and professionally enriching, group supervision offers a uniquely varied learning experience — drawing on the diverse clinical presentations, interventions, and therapeutic modalities each member brings to the table.

Over time, group supervision naturally evolves into a supportive professional network — a trusted, confidential space where fellow practitioners can explore their work openly, learn from one another, and grow together within the safety and warmth of the group.

Achtsamkeitsbasierte klinische Supervision (MBCS)

Mindfulness-Based Clinical Supervision | Clarity, Presence & Deeper Therapeutic Work

The benefits mindfulness brings to counselling and psychotherapy extend naturally into clinical supervision — enriching not just one, but all three relationships at the heart of the supervisory process: client, therapist, and supervisor.

When mindfulness guides the supervisory experience, both supervisor and therapist are supported and enhanced in their work and in their relationship with each other. The inherent complexities of this three-way dynamic are met with greater clarity, focus, and well-grounded presence.

How Mindfulness Benefits the Whole Therapeutic System

Mindfulness cultivated within clinical supervision has a direct and meaningful impact on the client — whether or not they are mindfulness practitioners themselves. A more present, attuned, and self-aware therapist naturally delivers richer, more responsive therapeutic care.

Mindfulness principles are woven naturally into the supervisory experience through explanation, reflection, and open discussion. No prior knowledge or experience of mindfulness is required.
